#7 Saulius Štombergas


Štombergas was the captain of the winning roster  in 2003. He had major contributions to victories with 13,7 points per game with the most impressive performances against Germany (28 points) and France (22 points). Saulius was chosen to be in the all-tournament team together with Šarūnas Jasikevičius. His later career led Štombergas through the clubs of Unics, Ulker and Naglis in Lithuania. Saulius Štombergas had decided to retire, but is coming back to play in Unics this summer.

#8 Ramūnas Šiškauskas 

Šiška with 14,8 PPG was second in scoring in the team after Macas. The duo from Lietuvos rytas led the literally led the National team to the gold medals. His dominance in European basketball continued in clubs as Benetton Treviso, Panathinaikos and now CSKA Moscow. The Baltic Pippen has now become an Euroleague champion twice.

#9 Darius Songaila 

Songaila was a solid contributor with 8 points per game. After spending a single year in Russia, he later moved on to be a great bench player in the NBA. Songaila has played for the likes of the Kings, Bulls and Wizards and was recently traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
